Introduction to Geoserver
The course introduces the basic functionalities of GeoServer software. GeoServer is an open source map and geographic information service software that is used and managed in a web browser. GeoServer supports standard spatial data interfaces such as WMS, WFS, WCS, WMTS and WPS distribution protocols. During the course, the trainee will learn the key processes related to the use of GeoServer, such as uploading geospatial data to the GeoServer server, creating user profiles, producing styling and visualisation and sharing geospatial data. After the course, the trainee will be able to manage and configure the GeoServer geospatial data server, as well as share, process and edit various spatial datasets with it.
Participants have basic knowledge of spatial information. The geoserver training is especially suitable for those who need to publish various map data in an online map service. For those who are considering implementing GeoServer the course gives the skills to manage and maintain the service, while active GeoServer users get support for developing their own work and tips for improving data management. The course price includes a four-month subscription to GispoHelp support service.
